The rape harvest was a very good improvement on last year, with the grain being dry, often 8-10 % only, and clean for which we therefore had a good price. It is a bother to queue, sometimes all night, waiting to be unloaded at the collecting centres, but there is camaraderie and much joking between men and women waiting on their full trailers. The barley and wheat harvest which followed was interrupted often by weather, sometimes having to wait till late afternoon before starting. We also had a breakage of the large wheel in the exchange mechanism of the Sampo which lost us nearly two days.
I had the pleasure of welcoming my son and also friend Yves and his family, staying during the harvest. We made our Dorzynki celebration, fifteen of us, in a restaurant on the high bank in Płock overlooking the Vitula River, celebrating the good result which gave 6 tons per hectare of wheat and 5 of barley, I tripped on concrete yard smashing my nose and glasses, so with a black and swollen face added charm to the occasion and better respect from the waiters. For J -, D - and I the end of harvest brings satisfaction and a bonus, and added respect from others.
Recording of thoughts which one feels justly, or sometimes mistakenly, as valuable, is an important pattern in life. Looking back at them, they show a reality of the past with the perspective of the present which shadows a vision of the future. On the whole however it is only out of pride or ignorance or cowardice that we refuse to see in the present the lineaments of times to come. Every man watching the big proscenium of life of his times, with the curtain always up and sometimes even the safety curtain not protecting him from the plot which is taking place, registers strong emotions - and feels need to do something. The first political letter I wrote as a lad of twelve, in 1937, was to General Franco, congratulating his victories, wishing success and saying that he will be as great a leader for Spain as Mussolini and Hitler are for Italy and Germany. The surprise was that I got a thank you from him - it became most precious treasure, not the letter, but the envelope, with the stamp of New Spain for the album. A year ago I had a letter published in The Observer, still (66 years later) watching the proscenium:

I love reading my favourite journalist, Will Hutton (Comment, last week), but am nonplussed when he goes off in a naïve appreciation of Bill and Hilary Clinton. We need only point to non-acceptance of Kyoto, the attack on Kosovo and Serbia and the daily bombings of Iraq over the years.
Clinton and Bush are the good cop with a cigarette and a bad cop with a kick in the crotch, both working the same slate of American roguery. You are right that many Americans understand the maelstrom politics into which they are being drawn, and it would help them to resist at home if the British understood it as well,

“Erstens komt es anders als Man denkt”: it always turns out differently; like Leszczyn which started in a quiet corner of our life and is now a part of looking at a reality of life in the world at large. And in writing one gets into a conversation with reality of what you think is your only choice, and you then speak in terms of that reality, very naturally - you could speak no other.
And today, and as it happens, we see the Nacism (American National Capitalism), built on its economic wealth, trying to achieve hegemony over the world: to ʻconquer, rule and exploitʼ. To put together - a monstrous structure of the War of Hegemony, an unexpected and unexplored new reality of our times. The Nacis need to deceive their own people first, hide their aims and cover up the steps being taken.
In the Nineteen-thirties Europe found itself in similar confusion: coming out of war, fearing another, threatened by social revolution and fascist power politics; the citizens were unable to identify the pros and cons of the political rationale, as they are unable to do today. They needed Winston Churchill to identify them by disclosing Hitlerʼs hidden agenda and exposing political scenarios, like Munich: ʻpeace in our timeʼ made to deceive for a time - before the bare force would suffice. The scenario of today is War on Terror, as false as the peace at Munich, hiding the monstrous agenda of Hegemony, to signal its lie a man like Dr Kelly sacrificed his life.
The hegemonic agenda has four essential objectives: first to create terror as a justification for aggression, second to control the mind of American people, third to destroy European Union as a Federal state, and fourth to destroy Russia as a power. Interwoven into these hidden objectives are various means and policies for justification. For the first objective, Nacis are using the humiliation of Islam, employing, amongst other means, the State of Israel who are pressing toward this war for ends of their own, provoking by its brutal policies wild reactions which can be condemned and used to justify revenge aggression. For the second they use the enhanced Patriotic Act - with CIA and FBI, financial intimidation, black- mail, electronic spying on citizens and the moral mayhem engineered by creationists or neo-cons inside America. For the third - they use the multinationals to impose over individual countries and Britain with the rump of new EU entries to destroy Federal aims. For the fourth, they create a cold war with Russia by false justifications of placing their WMD and missile shield in the centre of Europe. Each step is both dependent and integrated with the other - a nation, here or there, coming to help, in the Gotterdammerung - or dropping out, is of little concern in the master plan.
The programme is tight because the world is getting richer and more aware, thus becoming more difficult to hegemonize. One observes that it is still timed with American elections, so that the main steps are taken in the years after presidential or congressional elections, when the electorateʼs views may be easier to disregard. Thus the most important are 2001, 2005, 2009 and 2013 after presidential elections followed by 2003, 2007 and 2011 after congressional votes. The last step - aggression against Russia, will happen in 2013, leaving that country 9 years to prepare, which is a little shorter than the ten years that Stalin defined as coming aggression in the same circumstances. On the way there, the definition is confirmed with hind-sight of the years already passed: we had in 2001: “911” and in 2003: “Iraq”. Those to come will be germinated by suitable events which are: intimidation at home; wars with Islam; intimidation of Europe; economic recession; world fascist or leftist eruptions; and finally, Russiaʼs own precipitous reactions. They may come in this or varied order but they are planned now and any event will be used or made to justify the other, like Afghanistan was waiting in the plan, before they executed “911”, which in turn led to justification for Iraq, which will lead to attack on Iran or Korea, to economic recession of 1929 scale and to cold war with Russia: they cannot stop now.
Therefore the people who consider that the confusion in the Middle East is caused by Israel, or a fight for oil, are sorely mistaken. Israel follows the orders willingly because it has its own agenda of conquest, overlooking the fact that it is being used by America. Those who think that the mayhem is created for oil make an incongruous judgement, since everybody is keen to sell it - and America, whatever its politics, is a large and ready customer. There are other explanations offered at the present time to hide the agenda: one is that Islam is an evil religion which wishes to attack infidels. But considering that it has not done so for 500 years, has little means to do so now and is frequently attacked itself, it is not a convincing argument. Another belief is that Americans had sheer urge to avenge New York; there maybe a little truth in that, but revenge, which is not easily verbalized to people, is, if defined, only a camouflage to hide the policy. The explanation for what is going on there is that it is engineered to create in the world a sense of war and of danger.
The second objective of destabilising the US citizens is already well started - they managed ʻ911ʼ which enabled a Patriot Act to start the process legally, and we read they have now begun knocking on doors of liberal or opposition citizens, in the early hours, or intimidating the lady librarians, or listening secretly to peopleʼs telephones and spying on the public records by every access system available. Special Service Units are being installed, under army auspices at secret locations throughout the country; agencies both private and official ascertain the complicity of media at every level, as well as the control of universities and independent professions, many of which have moved in that direction themselves, as one reads of philosophical justifications for torture by learned professors. The support from the President and his cohorts, mounted on behalf of the Moral Majority, consisting of neo-cons, creationists and religiosity orientated sects, is designed to discriminate against a hated class of ʻliberalsʼ which contains anyone thinking independently. The intimidation will mount. Private firms and multinationals with arrogance, matched by their moral idiocy, will retire, or threaten with redundancy, any individual opposing hegemonic views. Creation of a super-rich class by rewards of billions makes them instrumental in management of the people - like the hacienda-masters of South America - to help in the destruction of any opposition.
For undoing of European Union, America uses Britain as an agent as she uses Israel for the creation of mayhem. Britain “having lost an empire and not found a cause” invents her own secret agenda. Having a government which utilizes her traditional doubt about unified Europe, albeit explained by history, to help America to manipulate the nation, hinting at promises within special relationship, perhaps of a sub-hegemony over Europe, or re-location of ECB to London, or acquiring industrial ownerships for a country slipping behind. The policy hinges on destroying the Franco-German alliance by England allying herself to France, and America to Germany and vice versa - to pull them apart. The new inexperienced, peripheral countries like Poland are used to support this effort, while multinational takeovers and a perpetual attack on the Agricultural Policy will serve as the means. The ultimate weapon to prevent a Federal European Union is the introduction of Turkey. The country of hundred million people of different tradition will naturally become a destabilizing factor. In the US, the blacks, closer within the society, because of shared religion and with lesser historical traditions, are still a constant tension. To propose this for: Better and Greater European Union is disingenuous, and will keep Europe as a collection of gaggling interests reminiscent of China as it was: a laughing stock of laundry- men, before Mao came.
The campaign against Russia requires encirclement of her with unfriendly neighbours and abuse of her friends, in order to create tension along all her borders. A game of competition in Asia, once known as the Great Game played by Britain in 19th Century, is now one of conflict. America is engaged in every one of the countries there, with an anti-Russian policy, introducing bases or training their military. The aggression is euphemistically concealed with idealized motifs: in Afghanistan as fighting terrorism; in Mongolia or Tajikistan it is implemented by wheeling-dealing as search for ʻmarket economyʼ; in Georgia, with an American trained president, as a resistance against Russian expansionism; in Uzbekistan as an effort to introduce democracy; in North Korea or Iran as arresting of nuclear expansion. But along the length and breadth of Russian land it is a struggle to create antagonism. In Europe the game, once known as the Cold War, is being revived abusing countries friendly to Russia, like Belarus or Serbia and making unfriendly ones, like Poland, Lithuania or Latvia - who had some bad experience of Soviet Union, to be egg on to discord with her. Whilst in Ukraine, millions are spent on an unsuccessful orange revolution ʻfor democracyʼ.
America is now in a position to command aggression anywhere - with small fractious arguments - perhaps in a Russian dependency, like Moldavia or Kaliningrad - or with whichever other factotum is available: never herself in the first instance. She can use others and NATO as a venue, to force a conflict: for Freedom and Democracy, and to have a hegemonic osculation, similar but better than the 600,000 dead in Iraq.
Russia was attacked from the east by the Mongols and from the west by Napoleon and Hitler, so adding one from the south may be a new and smart American innovation. And Mr Putin may be excused to conclude, like Saddam: ʻwhatever we do or donʼt do, we shall be aggressed by the Mongols who will come and destroyʼ. If it were accomplished, if Russia were to be subdued then the rest of the world would be easy pie. It is a large scenario, within which each step on the secret agenda is being planned in detail now. If it works it would also inaugurate the vanishing of a rare culture of Western Civilization and of Socialism as an ethic of free citizens, and would begin establishment of a rule of masters of “1984” and Iron Heel.
An agenda not easy to comprehend for a European - who naturally asks - why should this be? Think: the answer is easy, it is fivefold: because it is the mad dogʼs greed for power, he will not accept a NO from a little Iraqi, or an Englishman for that matter, because they created a crazy society of competition and hate with Waco and Timothy McVeigh - which they fear, because brazen spending and misuse of industry with pox-like financial system has made the country bankrupt, because they destroy education and free thought with creationists and religiosity, and because there is no longer love for the small man, black or white, like Martha Gellhorn or New Deal knew him and no political opposition left in US. In summary: the sure agenda worked out for hegemony is for them a confident scenario. But then, both Russia and history have confused the big scenarios erst-while - and made some true surprises before; Europeans can act, when together from Atlantic to the Urals: fear nothing and take nothing for granted.
